Debris

Marked by arrogant assurance. Commanding, dominant.

Scoff

To show contempt by derisive acts or language. Mock or jeer.

Mollified

To soothe in temper or disposition. Appease, soften.

Ominous

Foreboding or foreshadowing evil. Portentous, fateful.

Derogatory

Expressive of a low opinion. Disparaging.

Plaintive

Expressive of suffering or woe. Melancholy.

Complacent

To be pleased with oneself. Self-satisfied, unconcerned

Derision

The use of ridicule or scorn to show contempt. Ridicule, scorn.

Raptly

Wholly absorbed, transported with emotion. Engrossed, enraptured.

Scornful

Rejecting as unworthy. Disdain.

Contempt

The act of despising. Disdain.

Correlate
